Motovun is a town in the central part of Istria, in the southern part of the Mirna river valley. Chief occupations include farming, wine production and livestock breeding. Motovun is one of the most frequently visited excursion centres of central Istria. Its attraction consists in the mediaeval ambience (the walls in the form of the ring and two semi-rings).The wall was build in the 13th and 14th century. In the middle of walls is located the palace, the terrific tower, city hall and the church. During 14th – 17th century were it connected with couple of new parts of city. The walking part has a great view.
